A beautiful kurinoki (chestnut wood) tea scoop. This petite scoop comes crafted in a drop shape with Marumitsu Poterie's signature [m’] mark branded on the backside. Perfect to be used as scoop for loose tea leaves, or as a mini desert spoon.

Materials: Kurinoki chestnut wood (Casstanea Crenata).

Measurements: 2.4 x 7cm

Sold individually.

Care: Even though chestnut wood is resistant to water you shouldn't soak it in water for prolonged periods. Make sure to wash and dry immediately after use.

Marumitsu Poterie was established in 1950, and is based in Seto, Aichi, Japan. All of their pieces are created embracing both traditional and modern ceramic techniques, and a diverse range of natural materials. Their collection of tableware and donabes are made from natural clay excavated from the Japanese mountains and shaped by human hands. It is this warmth of the human hand, and connection to nature that is integral to Marumitsu Poterie’s philosophy.
