Product Description
Each of these plates are handmade in Japan. Its design is characterised by a round shape and a matte off-white glaze over a textured clay body. An ideal size for side dishes, bread, and breakfast.
Karatsu ware is a traditional Japanese craft designated by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. They’re produced in Saga Prefecture in northern Kyushu, with a history spanning over 400 years old. Karatsu pottery is well known for its many decorations and yuyaku (glazing) techniques, and comes in a variety of sorts and varieties.
