Product Description

This incense stick holder has been made with a handbuilding process, these ancient technique has been used for many of thousands of years. This approach to making pottery allows it to be created without pottery wheels, using only the makers hands and simple tools. I gravitate towards this way of making as it shows evidence of the human hand – the human being behind the work.

Each piece takes time to form by hand, then allowing time to dry for a period of 2-4 weeks before the kiln firing process.

This ceramic incense holder can be used alone, or sat on top of open dishes or nestled inside small bowls as wider bases.

Each piece may differ slightly in size and shape, as they are each hand-built – holding individual uniqueness. They may also differ in colour due to the different kiln firings. Colours may range from charcoal to black.
