Product Description
This ceramic figurine has been respectfully reconstructed as a replica based off excavated clay sculptures from the Jomon period, dating as far back as 10,000 years ago. It captures the essence of the Jomon people's spiritual worldview. This design has a heart-shaped face, wing shaped arms, thick legs, narrow waist, and engravings along the clay's surface.
During ancient times, the mysterious Jomon people used these clay figurines, however their specific purpose is unknown. Some scholars believe they may have been objects of worship, granting both protection and fertility.
Available in sizes x-small and small.
