Product Description
This small simple footed plate is handcrafted in Gifu Prefecture, Japan. Each is glazed in a light off-white bluish-green colour with a subtle glass like crackled finish resembling early morning fog.
The ceramics process that reveals this ice glassy like crackle is called kannyu-go. It is the result of the kiln firing process, appearing after cooling due to the difference in shrinkage between the glaze and clay base.
Perfect for serving small sweets and sides.
