Product Description

This Japanese ceramic tube shaped vase is from the crunch series, and made using a mixture of 20% crushed recycled ceramics and 80% porcelain. A textured finish is the result of the incorporation of ground recycled ceramics. The finish around the opening has been left in its natural state with minimal refining – creating a rustic appearance.

Made in Japan (Mino Ware).

Comes packaged in an individual box.

About: Yamatsu

Yamatsu is a ceramic manufacturer founded in 1868 and based in Toki City, Gifu Prefecture. Their focus is on continuing to manufacture Mino ware ceramics, following skills which have been inherited over the past 150 years since their establishment.

As around 70% of Toki City is covered with hilly terrain and an abundance of suitable clay, pottery making has a rich history in the area – being practiced since the Heian period (1,300 years ago). This flourishing hub brings together many ceramic artists and homes Yamatsu's studios and kilns.
